These shotguns became a very popular option when it became federal law that any waterfowl hunters have to use steel shot as opposed to lead. Having a 10ga meant you could sling a much larger payload at geese and other waterfowl and having a semi auto meant you could get faster follow up shots (if you could hold on). These are very cool shotguns and not something you see very often. This specific gun has been used a lot and it definitely shows.
